Kin By Us
Definition: one's family and relation
And it's clever that the owners (also previous MKR contestants) Uel and Shannelle Lim to design a menu entirely around that concept of family, sharing meals and recipes they grew up with. And it's exactly what you get when you visit. Located in Macquarie Park and based at the bottom of a residential building, Kin's space is open, warm and inviting - touching on the element of home with their massive and beautifully crafted timber share tables when you walk in.
Kin serves up a fusion of Australian classics and Asian favourites with a twist. For example, Eggs Benedict here is miso salmon served with onsen eggs, sesame spinach on sourdough. Also on the menu is Singapore’s famous Kaya toast (homemade coconut jam on toast); soft shell chilli crab on a brioche roll (aka Sub-Marine $18) and caramel soy pork belly with shrooms, onsen egg on a fluffy potato waffle (aka Waffle Belly $17). The eatery has also partnered with Reuben Hills to bring some of Sydney’s best coffee to the area.
Take note that parking is sparse, especially on weekends.
